Bar Bending Schedule For Footing

Bar Bending Schedule For Footing

What is the Footing?

Foundation is that the lowest a part of the building or the civil structure that’s in direct contact with the soil that transfers masses from the structure to the soil safely. Generally, the muse are often classified into 2, particularly shallow foundation and deep foundation. A shallow foundation transfers the load to a stratum gift during a shallow depth. The deep foundation transfers the load to a deeper depth below the bottom surface.

Given data

bbs fr slab

Length of footing = 2500mm

Width of footing= 2000mm

Height of footing =300mm

Spacing=150mm

Concrete cover bottom and top=50mm

Diameter of short bar =12mm

Diameter of long bar=12mm

Now we calculate the bar bending schedule of footing

Bottom bar

Long bar

Cutting Length of long bar=total length of footing -2 concrete cover+2 bends

Bend length of long bar=15d

Bend length of long bar=15(12) =180mm

Cutting length of long bar =2500-2(50) +2(180)

Cutting length of long bar =2500-100+360=2760mm=2.760m

Number of long bar=width of footing/spacing+1

Number of long bar=2000/150+1=14.33=15Nos

Total length of long bar=cutting length of one bar x Numbers of bar

Total length of long bar=2.760 x 15=41.40m

Weight of long bar= d2/12.25xtoal length

Weight of long bar= (12)2/162.25 x 41.40

Weight of long bar= 144/162.25 x 41.40=36.74=37kg

NOW

Short bar

Cutting length of short bar= width of footing-2 concrete cover +2 bends

Bend of short bar= 15d=15(12) =180mm

Cutting length of short bar = 2000-2(50) + 2(180)

Cutting length of short bar = 2000-100+360=2260mm=2.260m

Numbers of short bar =length of footing/spacing+1

Numbers of short bar = 2500/150+1=17.66=18Nos

Total length of short bar= length of one bar x Number of short bar

Total length of short bar= 2.260 x 18=40.68m

Weight of short bar = d2/162.25 x total length of long bar

Weight of short bar = (12)2/162.25 x 40.68

Weight of short bar =144/162.25 x 40.68=36.10=37kg

WE know

Bottom of short bar =Top of short bar

Bottom of long bar = Top of long bar

Total length of short bar bottom and top bar is same

Total length of short bar of bottom bar= total length of short bar of top bar

40.68=40.68

So total length of short bar

40.68+40.68=81.36m

Weight of short bar bottom and top bar is same

Weight of short bar of bottom bar= weight of short bar of top bar

37=37

Total weight of short bar of bottom and top bar

Total length weight short bar = 37+37=74kg

Total length of long of bottom bar and top bar is same

Total length of long bar of bottom bar = total length of long bar of top bar

41.40=41.40

Total length of long bar bottom and top

41.40+41.40=82.80m

Weight of long bar of bottom and top bar is same

37=37

Total weight of long bar of bottom and top

37+37=74kg

Diameter of bottom short bar and long bar and the diameter of top short bar and long bar is same 12mm

So

The total weight of 12mm bar is= weight of bottom short and long bar +weight of top short and long bar

The total weight of 12mm bar is= 74+74=148kg
